Bertuccelli Design is the father/daughter team of Leah and Randal Bertuccelli.
LEAH Bertuccelli
industrial design
Leah Bertuccelli graduated from the University of Washington in 2019 with a BDes in Industrial Design. She joined Bertuccelli Design in June of 2019. As an Industrial Designer, she brings an added skill-set to our Mechanical Engineering services and her specialties include: concept creation, advanced surfacing, sketches, photo-realistic renderings, handcrafted prototyping, and professional presentations. She also heads our Marketing Department and is helping revolutionize our brand in much neglected areas including web and social media presence.
Leah is a creative at heart who is constantly doing something with her hands, whether its drawing, painting, sculpting, or cooking.
RANDAL Bertuccelli

Randal Bertuccelli started Bertuccelli Design in 1995 and has been in product development since 1980. He was an early adopter of CAD for engineering and design, yet he attributes his rapid progression early in his career to the mental push-ups required to visualize and detail a product by way of pencil and vellum before the advent of 3D technologies.
He studied Industrial Design before his left brain took over the reins and segued into engineering instead. Because of his early appreciation for design, he complimented his materials and processes knowledge by gaining complex CAD surfacing skills to be of service to the budding Industrial Design firms ascending on the Bay Area in the 90's. His knowledge of plastic injection molding coupled with his surfacing ability provided a niche in the industry with a competence that few had.
Presently, his expertise lends to early concepting and architecture, mechanism development, piece-part design for manufacture (DFM), prototype procurement and evaluation, and as a manufacturing liaison with an emphasis on tooling development.
Randy digs photography, motorcycling, boating, and travel. He enjoys life with his family in the gold country of the Sierra foothills.

Bertuccelli Design reached the 25 year milestone of doing business as a private company in 2020 Our tenure in the field allows us to accurately assess risk/reward vs. risk/failure. No Risk-It, No Biscuit! Our team combines fresh blood with experience, joining forces for the here and now with a keen eye towards the future. Innovation is a garden that sprouts from seeds of ideas, watered with creativity, and planted in the soil of experience.
We like to get in early, when ideas and concepts are kicked around like a hacky sack until they eventually begin to take shape in layers, each one formed by another question answered. We go to work on our part of it with the goal of producing innovative and manufacturable designs, on-time, and at a reasonable cost to our customer. We can also help that customer by riding that horse right into production.
